Google Alerts = Good Stuff

December 30th, 2008 by Author kim

I was reading the Google Alerts in my inbox this morning, and felt extremely honored when I saw this…

Pinnacle Awards Finalists at Affiliate Summit West 2009
Scott Aiken; Mike Allen; Kim Rowley. Affiliate Manager of the Year. Angel Djambazov; Stephanie Harris; Kim Salvino. Exceptional Merchant. 4Checks.com; Amazon; CelebrateExpress.com. Affiliate Marketing Advocate
Affiliate Marketing Blog by Shawn… – http://blog.affiliatetip.com/

You can read the Shawn’s full article above, or read about it on Missy’s blog (as hers is better looking).  I was nominated as a Pinnacle Awards Finalist for Affiliate of the Year, along with Scott Aikin and Mike Allen.  The only thing I have on those guys is that I have more hair, ha.  They are both exceptional affiliates, and I am privileged to be considered among them.  In fact, every finalist is a respected authority in the affiliate community, and I’m glad to call them all my friends.  Congratulations! And see you all in Vegas!

Another Google Web Alert I received…

Who has the most Followers on Twitter? (Top 100) (Nebraska, USA
Kim Rowley (kimarketing), Nebraska, http://kimarketing.com, 399, 302, 531, 232 days ago. 9. Anne Good (AGOutLoud), Nebraska, http://www.agoutloud.com

I didn’t know that a hundred people in Nebraska actually used Twitter!  I even made the Top Ten. Are you following me yet?  And if you aren’t using Google Alerts yet, I highly suggest it to see who’s talking about you!

Women of Affiliate Marketing

Issue 4 cover of FeedFront Magazine

When I first started dabbling in affiliate marketing a decade ago, the industry was dominately male, which worked to my advantage to get a lot of free drinks.  But as the years have progressed, so has woman power! And I still get free drinks, so all is well. I was honored to make the cover of Issue 4 of FeedFront Magazine as one of the “The Women of Affiliate Marketing” (subscribe for free at FeedFront.com). I personally know a lot of the other women featured as well, and consider them not only colleagues, but friends. Those gals that I don’t know yet, I hope to meet next month at Affiliate Summit in Vegas. You can read the issue online here. My bio is on page 18, and my Will Blog For Food pic made page 43.

Free Shirt Friday – 1&1

December 12th, 2008 by Author kim

Kim in 1&1 ShirtTrusted by over 7 million customers!

My daughter had to remind me after school today that it was Free Shirt Friday by asking if I needed her to take my picture!  I had just gotten out of the shower – yes I was working in my pajamas all day – so definitely not a good photo opp.  Good thing, this free shirt from 1&1 was on the top of the pile that required a back shot, so you can’t see me without my warpaint.

From convenient domain packages to feature-packed web hosting plans, virtual private servers, powerful dedicated servers and ready-to-run eShops, 1&1 offers a complete range of web services for every need, every skill level and every budget. All 1&1 products have been designed to provide the ideal combination of features and affordability, with no pricing gimmicks or hidden costs. You simply won’t find a better value for your money!

I have to be honest that I’ve been pretty loyal to GoDaddy for most of my domain name registration needs, but after checking out 1and1.com, I think I am going to switch!  Their domain names are only $3.99 the first year and $8.99/yr after that, PLUS include free private domain registration, free ICANN and free e-mail accounts. Cool beans.

P.S. They also have an affiliate program housed at CJ.
