In response to the comment above, oDesk started as a marketplace geared more toward programmers and "geeks". The penguin is the linux (operating system) mascot. We decided to incorporate that into the original t-shirt designs. Since then, oDesk is no longer just for "geeks", but we haven't quite updated our t-shirt designs to reflect that. ;) Thanks again for this post, Kim! Sorry, I’m a little late to the party.
