Living in a small town in the middle of nowhere (aka hickville), not many locals understand exactly what I do for a living, other than I sit at home on my arse all day in front of the computer. Some people think I sell stuff on ebay. Other people think I make porn in my basement.
Those people that actually own a computer and are exploring the world wide web often think I do website design. Thus why I get various inquiries from people and businesses asking if I’ll design a website for them. Sorry, can’t do it. Sure I do some of my own design work, but I myself outsource most of it.
So if you are looking to have a website designed, here’s some options for you (in alphabetical order as to not be biased)…
AlexBet.com – Alexander Betinski has done great work for many of my colleagues.
iGroupStudios – Interactive design studio owned by my uncle with top named clients such as Suze Orman.
Gleames Creative Design – Local to my area (Northeast Nebraska).
Lutz Creative – My classmate is a partner there, so thought I’d give them a plug.
netGURUS – They created my Key Internet Marketing logo.
Synner Design - My brother has created almost all of of my website logos & graphics.
Wildfire Marketing Group – They have an impressive portfolio.

It’s funny how people sometimes speculate what you do for a living ex: porn in the basement. my gf would think i did pron if she didn’t check up on me every so often. nice list.

I dnt understand why people have to poke their nose in what others do, why can’t they mind their own business.Even i faced the same problem. In my case people even thought that i am a mental retard who has nothing better to do except sitting in front of a computer.

I’m not a designer but have dabbled in it. Having an attractive, search engine friendly site is vitally important. On first glance perhaps “NetGurus” is the best choice from your list since the name leads me to believe they might care about more than just the design aspect.

This is so funny. It is true because many people don’t know what I do for a living too. They assume I make porn as well because I make money at home.

Haha, its funny how a majority of work at homers and webmasters are self conscious about being labeled as a potential porn industry employee or runner. Are people really self conscious? or has this just become an inside joke among webmasters?
