Free Shirt Friday – ShareASale ASW 2009

ShareASale outdid everyone again this year at Affiliate Summit in Vegas, not only with their 80’s Under the Stars Party (have you seen my party pics yet?), but at their exhibit hall booth as well.  The had a carnival theme complete with a photo booth (check out the mug shots of Brian Littleton and me) and ski ball machine!  I won the cute, cuddly ShareASale panda bear.  And got their signature star tshirt.  They obviously didn’t use my suggestion to make yellow shirts (hint, hint, maybe New York…), but still cool shirts nonetheless.  Thanks for the fun guys!

P.S. Shoemoney suggests publishing your Amazon Wish List.  So, since Valentine’s Day is coming up, and everyone knows a girl loves gifts, who am I to argue?! I made Kim Rowley’s Amazon Wish List :)

Making Money Marketing Tshirts

January 20th, 2009 by Author kim

Gary VaynerchukGary Vaynerchuk from WineLibrary.tv delivered the keynote address at Affiliate Summit in Vegas. Gary was very motivational, and if you missed it, the video is available online for replay.  One of his newest ventures with his brother is PleaseDressMe.com.  He readily admits it’s full of affiliate links and doesn’t even bother to mask them to hide that fact.  Rumor has it the site is already making thousands of dollars of revenue every month.

Not sure the average affiliate without Gary’s following could pull off such fast success, but there is money to be made in Tshirt sales!  One of my favorite tshirt affiliate programs is T-Shirt Hell.  They pay $4 per shirt (no matter the cost of the shirt) and offer a variety of styles and colors that all are original designs and concepts that can’t be found anywhere else.  Warning, some are explicit in language.

Affiliate Summit Mentor Program

Teresa Caldwell from 4urWorld originally headed up the Affiliate Summit Mentor Program that debuted at ASE08 in Boston. Teresa did a great job, and I made a new friend with my mentee, Cindy of Sweepstake Supplies - how cool that we both have sweepstakes sites!

Unfortunately, Teresa had to step down from coordinating the Mentor Program for ASW09 in Vegas to care for her mother. We missed you Teresa! Jen Goode (aka Penguin Lady and Buffet liner-upper) took over the program, and did a super fantastic job as well!

The mentee that I was originally paired with was only in Vegas for about 24 hours (wish we could have hung out longer, Mary), but after befriending @BajaLori on Twitter, I asked Jen if I could take on two mentees. Lori is a native of Las Vegas and heads up Las Vegas Net Daily. We had a lot of fun together!  She not only arranged a tour of Zappos for a dozen of us affiliate marketers, but chauffered some of us in her cool Hummer, and presented me with some awesome Chanel inspired earrings that I had been eyeing on her ears!  Thanks so much Lori!

Maybe next time, I’ll get paired with a young, good looking guy like Southbeach Annie did!
