Today’s Free Shirt is courtesy of LiveGreenGoYellow.com which forwards to GM.com’s Biofuels page.

E85 ethanol, a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline, is a mostly renewable fuel that can be made from biodegradable wastes and several plants, such as switchgrass, willow, and corn.

In the U.S., there are already over 7 million E85-capable vehicles on the road. GM is the leader in E85 FlexFuel vehicles, with over 3 million FlexFuel vehicles on the road in the U.S. We are well on the way to meeting our goal of having half of annual vehicle production be E85 or biodiesel capable by 2012.

Now I haven’t gotten the big “go green” bug yet, but I’m all for ethanol fuel being used as it will be less expensive than foreign oil, plus it will provide more jobs here in the “cornhusker” state. Trust me, living here is not that bad. Now I just need to buy a vehicle that can consume E85, as I found out the hard way my current vehicle can’t.

Next Friday there will probably be no “Free Shirt Friday” as my daughter is scheduled for her surgery that day. And then next day I’m “leaving on a jet plane” to Affiliate Summit in Boston. I haven’t missed one summit yet, but this is the first one that I’ll be a speaker at. If you’re attending the conference, please leave a comment!
