TheSpew Gets Pearsonified

May 21st, 2009 by Author kim

As I mentioned yesterday, the podcast is now alive and kicking…

TheSpew.fm for Women by WomenTheSpew TheSpew, Episode 9: Chris Pearson – Naked and Covered in Honey http://cli.gs/theSpew9 w/@pearsonified @karengarcia @kimarketing & @missyward

Highlights from the show can be found over at Geekcast.fm.
One topic we discussed was the FTC taking on paid posts.  Should bloggers disclose when they’ve been wooed for cash or freebies from companies?

I used the example of when I was sent a Sumo Omni to review. I didn’t like the thing, so I asked the company if they still wanted me to write about it as I’m not gonna lie. Nope. They still got some advertising from my pre-review. And I used an affiliate link to their store. Should I have to disclose that I may potentially earn commission if they purchase through my link?  I think not.

What are my favorite things to review? Send me shoes!

Who is Andrew Wee?

Kim Rowley and Andrew Wee

I was anxious to meet Andrew Wee for the first time in person at the last Affiliate Summit in Vegas, as he is a brilliant man.  If there weren’t a 13 hour time difference between us (he’s in Singapore), I think I’d be bugging him even more via AIM, as he inspires and motivates me every time I chat with him.  I felt honored when he asked to interview me for his Friday podcast show.  So honored in fact that I gave up my Skype virginity to him.  My interview aired last week.  (Um, can you count how many times I said “um”?).  I suggest you check out all of Andrew’s podcasts, as he has interviewed many intelligent internet marketers. And I’m flattered he considered me part of that list!  Thanks for everything, Andrew!
