I was looking at my stats this week (I use StatCounter.com – it’s free) and noticed the the top referring keywords for this site were “gilbert gottfried as octomom“. Did I blog about this? No. But I twittered it! And I use Alex King’s Twitter Tools (also free) to pull my tweets into the sidebar of my site.
So, I thought I’d write a quick post to actually add the content that those visitors are looking for (Gilbert Gottfried playing Octomom on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno), courtesy of Hulu.com, and give you all some free advice – add your twitter feed to your website for some possible free traffic! Do you follow me on twitter yet?
P.S. Do you think I’ll make a better looking Octo-mom for Halloween than Gilbert Gottfried?
You better starting plumping those lips now so they are ready by October! LOL
That video was hilarious – thanks for sharing. I’m off to add my tweets to my blog now…
Kim,
Very interesting–thanks for the twitter traffic generation tips. I’m always interested in learning a few more ways to get some more people to see my work. This is seriously a really good tip–I’m sure a lot of people do not know what you have learned here first hand.
Also, you are straight attacking this web 2.0 marketing thing. You got your twitter feed, your video podcast thing, your posts, your links to other sites. This is some good work integrating it all. I’ve seen few blogs that really can put all the different means of disseminating your message to use in one package. Rock on.
Good idea to get traffic from twitter. I never thought tweeting something that is not in our blog can draw traffic to our blog. Gotta try it out. Thanks for this tips.
