Launching a business can be stressful and there are a million and one things you need to think about. From registering your business to finding the right insurance, it is only natural that you would forget about some of the things you need to do.

Here is a little reminder list so they are not left by the wayside.

1. Delegation

The run-up and the first few weeks are always difficult so make sure you are ready to delegate wherever you can. Even if you are your company’s sole employee when you launch, you can delegate other aspects of your life to ensure that you can keep focused on the business. Ask a friend to take your dog for a walk. Ask your mum to prepare some of your favourite meals so you can have a quick perk-up at the end of the day. Delegation does not always have to mean you give tasks to your employees.

2. Printing

Whether you are printing flyers for a grand opening or simply getting your hand on some new business cards, you are going to need to find reliable, cheap printing services. One company who does offer great rates, as well as great products, is ZoePrint.com. You can find just about every printing product you could need on their website, so you can get whatever you need before it’s too late.

3. Have Back-Up Finance

While you don’t need thousands to start a business, having a rainy day plan is sure to help if you find the income flow a little slow at the start. Whether you have a loan application ready to fire off or you are thinking about a quick and cheap marketing campaign to boost traffic and therefore sales, a back-up strategy will never go amiss.

4. Network

A network of like-minded business owners will give you more professional support than your friends and family ever could. Join forums on social media and see if there are any business networking groups in your local area which could help you meet new people. If you have an office or retail location, reach out to the businesses around you. They may have some contacts which could help you out at some point.

5. Relax

Don’t forget to take a moment or two to relax. You have done all the hard work and your business is now up and running. You should take some time for yourself to ensure that you are not burning out from the stress of management. Try to put aside at least one evening a week where you can turn off your phone and focus on something you enjoy. If your schedule doesn’t allow that, consider taking an hour away from the office to have a walk or meditate. It will make all the difference to your emotional well-being.

These are just some of the things you could forget when you are launching your own business. Make a checklist of everything that needs doing in the run-up to your launch. Have you got what is on this list? If not, you might want to consider adding them in.
