Your business thrives on attracting new customers and turning them into long-time, repeat buyers. So you’re always on the lookout for ways to get your brand out there into the world. You no doubt have been dabbling in digital marketing already, and you’ve probably spent some money on advertising services outsourced to another company. But don’t forget that you can advertise and build your brand all by yourself – with the help of your employees, of course. Check out these five easy ways to build your brand reputation and gain more recognition for your company.
In This Post:
1. Vehicle Signs and Decals
If your business makes use of company vehicles – even if it’s just one or two – make sure that those vehicles have magnetic signs, decals or are painted with your company name, logo and contact information. Company vehicles with your business info on them is an easy way to increase brand recognition and reputation. You never know who’s watching as you or your crew are out there on the road. If your vehicles are unmarked, every day is a missed opportunity to get noticed.
2. Company Uniform and Apparel
Just as many companies are missing advertising opportunities by not having signage on their vehicles, there are also many companies with employees wearing their own clothes. That’s fine for some businesses where employees have no contact with customers or with the outside world. But if your staff is out on location or is interacting with customers and vendors in person, they should at least be wearing shirts or hats with your brand logo.
3. Company Pens and Office Supplies
This is an old school guerilla marketing tip right here, but it’s too cost-effective to pass up. Everywhere you go, you and your staff should be giving out company pens to customers and to vendors. Who cares if pens are more expensive than business cards? Nobody looks at business cards every single day, but they will definitely use that ball point pen on a regular basis.
4. Coffee Mugs and Travel Mugs with Company Logos
Have you ever been to a trade show or convention for your industry? If you have, you know how common coffee mugs are with business logos on them. It seems like everyone is using this product to advertise their business. Don’t pass on it just because it doesn’t seem very new or creative. Again, as with the pens, your customers are drinking coffee every day. Many of them are drinking coffee in a work environment where other people will also see that cup every day.
5. LED and Digital Signs
Another great way to market your business in the real world is to invest in bright and attractive LED signs. Whether you get a small sign to hang in your window that flashes your name and logo in four colors, or you put up a massive LED sign or video sign out in the parking lot that can be seen from a mile away, nobody can deny that these signs grab people’s attention day and night. Signs can be a larger investment up front, but they are a great way to get massive local exposure for your company.
With all the attention these days on social media and Internet marketing, it’s easy to get caught up in the latest advertising trends while completely overlooking tried-and-true methods that still work out in the real world. Make sure that your company is utilizing these five advertising tips to get the word out about your products and services in your local area.
