Starting your own business is one of the scariest and most exciting challenges you will ever embark on. If you put everything into making your company a success, you can guarantee your hard work will pay off eventually.
I learned all about marketing when studying for my Bachelor’s Degree in Business, which led me to forming Key Internet Marketing, Inc. so I have plenty of advice to share and the perfect forum to share it right here.
In This Post:
1. High-Quality Content
High-quality content is a must for any brand. It is essential you express your services and tone in the most articulate way possible, as a failure to do so will make you look unprofessional and untrustworthy.
Well-written, informative and engaging blog posts can drive traffic to your website, whilst expressing your offering to a target market. The more traffic that comes your way, the more Google will value your website, meaning you can become a strong competitor in your industry, which will be reflected in your overall sales, industry collaborations and consumer engagement.
2. Connect with Like-minded People on LinkedIn
It helps to connect with like-minded people in your industry, and LinkedIn is a great medium to help you do so. Not only can you network online with key industry figures, but you can share your company news and opinions, which could result in you becoming an industry leader.
3. Facebook Ads
Know your customer before you use Facebook ads, because you will want to successfully reach your target market to boost engagement and sales. Once you know their gender, age range, location and interests, it’s time to start with paid advertisements, which you can strategically aim for a specific audience. That way you only reach your desired customer, and can cut out everyone who most likely wouldn’t be interested in your service.
For example, Ascot Diamonds would most likely target engaged females over the age of 20 years old, as they may be planning on selecting their dream wedding ring.
4. Email Marketing
Every company should be using email marketing. However, it can sometimes feel like an uphill challenge to collate many email addresses. You should start by adding your existing customers to your mailing list, but you could also offer a free product or service, with people subscribing to your email newsletter for a chance to win. Systems like MailChimp and GetResponse can then help you promote your latest offers, products and news to your subscribers.
5. Review Websites
Do you believe you provide your customers or clients with a valuable service? If so, you should sign-up to a review site. This will allow your previous customers to leave feedback based on their experiences with your company – and one great review could result in many more customers. If you’re in the travel industry then TripAdvisor really is a must.
There are so many marketing opportunities online, so make time to find them and don’t be afraid to try something new if you believe a campaign could work.
