This week we had the pleasure of interviewing SEO expert Taylor Bracken.

1. Tell me about yourself.
I currently live in Scottsdale Arizona where I own and operate Tecsolo SEO.
2. I read you cofounded a international nutraceutical company at the age of 24, which is amazing! Are you still involved with that company or did you sell it?
I started a nutrition company in 1998 with my younger brother David Bracken called Energetix Nutrition. We started this company after working as distributors for Pureform Laboratories where we gained valuable experience and connections in the industry. We sold Energetix Nutrition in 2002 to an investment group.
3. You have since he expanded into web development and search engine optimization with Tecsolo.com with locations in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston and Winnipeg. Do you only provide local SEO for those areas?
I primarily focus on those markets mainly because that’s where the bulk of my clients are at the moment, but I offer SEO services worldwide. The nice thing about offering internet marketing services is you can work from anywhere, and your potential clients are not limited by location or industry.
4. Do you have any tips for someone wanting to get starting in providing their own local SEO services?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a great business to be in at the moment because there is a tremendous demand for ranking on Google for all businesses. SEO can be the difference between a company dominating their industry or going out of business. Having “Digital Real Estate” on Google being ranked on the first page is like having a giant billboard and storefront for your services.
What makes this industry really lucrative at the moment is that there is a lack of SEO companies that can actually deliver for their clients. Most “SEO Experts” actually just outsource their services to other companies overseas that use spammy tactics that not only don’t deliver results but are likely to get their clients websites penalized by Google. By learning proper SEO techniques anybody can get into this industry and do very well.
5. Do you have any hobbies outside of the business world?
My hobbies include playing Bass in a Heavy Metal Band that I’m a member of called Diablero. I also enjoy traveling to new places and meeting people from different cultures.
