How to Build an Online Survey Form
Part of the challenge of creating online survey forms is the fact that custom-making one from scratch will require that you have experience with HTML, CSS and PHP. That isn’t the case with AidaForm however, and it will provide you with a graphical interface that you can use to create your forms.
All that you need to do is sign up for a free account on the AidaForm website and log in. In the members’ area you can then click on the ‘Create a Form’ button and get started:
1. Select and customize a template
The first thing you’ll need to do is select a template – but for online survey forms it may be best to start with a blank one. After you enter the name of the form and click the ‘Create’ button, you can add as many fields to your form as you want by dragging blocks of them into place.
In AidaForm there are lots of different types of fields that you can add including radio buttons, lists, rating scales, text fields, and more. Each field can be customized so you can set the label, hint, form validation, and error messages that you want to use.
2. Select and customize a theme
To make sure that your survey is easy on the eyes, you can select one of the many themes in AidaForm’s Form Designer. The elements in the theme can then be customized, and you can adjust the font and colors so that it matches your brand or website better.
3. Publish the survey
After the survey is complete, AidaForm will let you publish it by providing you with a direct link that you can post on social media, forums, emails, or even platforms such as YouTube. If you prefer it an automatically generate embed code as well – and you can copy and paste that to publish it on your website.
